Buck Lake Stampede.
Not sure what country we were in…
Oh yeah, Oilland.
Saddle bronc riding…
Brett, these are just for you. Just for you.
Steer wrastlin’.
More saddle bronc.
The art of getting wasted…
Calf roping – the leather is on the horns so that the ropes don’t cut into their heads.
Very nice form.
Cook the chuckwagon racer gonna burn it up.
This bull has some saliva issues, among others.
These bulls were mean.
“Yup, 74 years old and started chariot racin’ 20 years ago…”
“My pastures gettin’ pretty low, too, ‘xcept for down in them swamps where she’s wetter. But they haven’t even gotten over the drought from five years ago.”
These are the types of rodeos that are really worth going to. For 10 bucks, it’s one hell of a day’s investment.

jis loved the shots, Dan. Amost felt like I was there! After hearing about the bull run in Spain this morning, immediately decided that Buck Lake would be better value and maybe even safer?
Thanks for the shots, will look over them again and savour!
Cheers,
Merle
great shots dan ! you canadians are tougher than us kiwis !
or dumber! although there were four kiwis and one aussie in the rodeo.
Hey Dan, those boys tie a mighty quick rope…I’ll be practicing that on the dog tomorrow….cheers for the pic’s ….
wow Dan, brings me back, Rimbey Rodeo styles.
dam dude, you got skills behind the light capturing device. NICE WORK! Loverly collection/selection.
Hey Dan! Great work. I really enjoyed looking through your site! (Kristy and I were bored one day at work, so we decided to creep… you were the topic of choice haha) Keep up the good work, your stuff is fantastic! You should definately look into going to a few more rodeos and getting some shots, I know alot of people who would buy them off you. My only criticism…. where are the barrel racing shots!!?? haha. If you happen to get any of me I’d definately buy some off you. Keep your camera ready! see you at the wedding.
