TallC and I went for a tramp up Ben Nevis yesterday - was excellent weather and an excellent time.  On the way we stopped to do some cliffhanging.  If you haven’t yet tried this out it is reccomended to increase circulation.  Notice the Tom Cruise stance he maintains in the second picture - excellent form!

I was able to have the honour of going fishing with some good friends today.  It’s always such great time, no matter what the outcome, fishwise.  I have two things to say today.  One, a shout out to my parents, whom I love and miss very much - they are great to me even when I’m not great to anyone. Two, a shout out to you, for reading this and for checking my site, which, after one year of operation has managed 10 000 hits - so thanks for your interest.

I have been lucky enough to be shown and be able to show others some pictures of a past generation of Ontarians.  It’s hard to imagine the everything these people saw and the difference in those views from ours today.  These older pictures are so interesting because people still used to pose for the camera, whereas these days most cringe from it.  Interesting, because it makes everyone look happier; but on the other hand, maybe they were.  A special thanks to Merle, whom the photos are courtesy of.  More can be found by clicking here.

We went fishing out of Nelson the other day and it was a seriously GOOD time.  This country is so beautiful from the water and despite a queasiness in my stomach from the constant swells slish sloshing the boat we had a great time.  Brett was able to get some quality dolphin swim time in.  No one else witnessed the event but the three of us, so let these pictures prove the fish stories we may tell for a long time to come.  There are more pictures for your enjoyment here.

1380 squares means at least 5520 cuts.  Just a little ridiculous.  I’ll get a better method for next time other than bleeding fingers.

Pretty tame birds around here…

Today we went back to the Nelson Foundry and I managed to get some pictures of the place and the guys working there. They gave me pictures of the last pour they did… an historic moment, for sure. Now they are cleaning up what little there still is. What good guys, it’s a shame that the Nelson Foundry won’t be supplying the region with the manhole covers that are all over the city… all thanks to Humes taking their business to China. Despite the grins, it can’t be easy to see this go. Check out more pictures here.
