Two O’Clock Creek Ridge

Vision Quest, above Lake Abraham, looking east.

Mount Michener.

Fossil hunting season.

Fossilized shell still attached at base to the limestone.

The fruits of our finds.

Double-barreled shotgun?

Day 2, we hiked from the Kootenay Plains up Two O’Clock Creek Ridge onto the saddle overlooking Landslide Lake and up the unknown peak to the north.

The site of an old forest fire.

The Fossil Hunter slogging it uphill.

Beware the gusts.

Looking down the valley to the North Saskatchewan River.

We hiked to the saddle in the middle, then up the peak on the right… super beautiful!

Lots of bighorn sheep droppings…. mmmm.

We must have been some of the highest Albertans that day.

Landslide Lake from above.

Looking almost directly north.

Ptarmigans sure blend in well!

The mountain we hiked up… Landslide Lake is behind that… good times!
